In our office we love seeing our patients and we will always make sure that your next appointment is booked to see the Chiropractor. We receive many questions as to why you should re-book your future appointment and here are some F.A.Q’s on this subject!

Do I really need to re-book my visit each time?

Yes! It is important to keep your spine moving optimally to prevent adhesion and fibrotic tissue from building up in a stuck joint. This starts to happen after 2-4 weeks with no adjustments.
Regular visits also help prevent arthritis which if adhesion’s and scar tissue are left without treatment, arthritis will start to form.

Is Stress related to the Spine?
You bet it is – your spine and body are under constant stress due to everyday activities. When a joint is stuck it sends stress signals to your brain which your brain then in turn sends signals back to your body to compensate and contract different muscles and produce more cortisol. Long-term stress signals to your brain can wreak havoc on the health of your body-especially on your immune system, digestive and reproductive systems. Getting adjusted regularly will help keep those stress signals low and your body functioning at its best!

How often should you be coming in?
This all depends on your body.  If your body is under regular stress due to your job or activities then coming in more regularly is ideal.  Patients who are under their first phase of care will come in more often to help break down the body’s old habits and build up new ones.  Patients who have completed their first phase of care will usually come in on a maintenance/wellness bases that fit their body’s needs.

I’m not in pain, why do I still need adjustments?
At CFW, we focus on your body’s function.  We tell patients all the time that feeling is not the same as function.  We want to maintain optimal body performance and function before we ever get to the pain stages.  Did you know only 10% of the nerve’s job is to send pain signals?  We don’t want you to get into pain stages again!
